New: Create Playlists and Share Music in Gospel Library
Music is powerful! It invites the Spirit and teaches gospel truths. You can now create and share custom music playlists through the Gospel Library app.
You might create a playlist for Christmas sacrament meeting, the Primary sacrament meeting presentation, musical numbers, or Primary singing time.
Gospel Library playlists can also include scriptures, talks, and other audio content for personal study and inspiration as well as teaching and sharing. The possibilities are exciting—and endless! Sign in to the app and start creating your personal playlists.
To get started, we’ve curated a couple playlist options for you to download and share with others.
Syncing Your Sacred Music App Playlists
Creating playlists is a new feature in the Gospel Library. This added feature is part of the retirement of the Sacred Music app. In 2026, the Sacred Music app will no longer be available, but the features you love will be available in the Gospel Library app, allowing your music and scripture study to be in one place.
If you have existing playlists in the Sacred Music app, sign in to both the Sacred Music and Gospel Library apps through your Church account. This will sync your playlists across both apps so you can continue accessing and using them seamlessly.
Entering Sacrament Meeting Hymns in the Gospel Library App
You can enter sacrament meeting hymns in the Gospel Library app, so they are listed for your congregation directly on their Home screens, where they can find them more easily.
To do this, make sure you are signed into the app with your Church account, then navigate to the Home section, locate Callings, and find the option to select Hymns.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is compiling a new hymn book to be used in place of the current hymn books being used in church meetings. It will be available in 2026. In the meantime, new songs that will be included in this new book will be released periodically in digital format and shared on this webpage.
The Lord has said, “My soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads” (Doctrine and Covenants 25:12). Sacred music can bring joy, comfort, and inspiration. Singing together can unify our families and congregations in faith and worship.
We invite you to become familiar with the new music as it is released. Use these selections in your daily worship and gospel study and instruction, both at home and at church. Sheet music and audio recordings can be found on the Gospel Library and Sacred Music apps, and at Music.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
We thank the many members who have contributed their time, talents, and energy to this sacred music collection. May the Lord bless all of us as we offer to Him the songs of our hearts through sacred music.
